ZScreen is an image and screen capture utility for Windows computers. The application is open-source, so it is free for non-commercial use. There are many applications like this and most are even inbuilt with Windows. However, this one has some nice features that I would like to share with you. As many others, ZScreen allows you to take screen captures of your whole screen or a region of it. Both features can be accessed with hotkeys. If you need to take a capture of a region simply hit the key and select the region by dragging. Also, you can send those screens to the clipboard or even save them as a file. The interesting part is the ability to upload the screenshots that you take. For example, you can take a screenshot of your whole screen and upload it directly to Imageshack. Instead of putting the screenshot on the clipboard, the application will instead give you a link to your new image upload on Imageshack. This is great for people who need to upload their shots and need to save a little time wherever they can. The application is great and is really popular among web developers. The latest version of this application is 1.3.3.0. However, this review deals with version 1.3. |
